LIQUID and Gel Fusing Adhesives
Two Formats. One Pure Bond. Zero Residue.
Instructions & Best Practices
Papyros Liquifuse provides a strong, pure bond that is colorless. It burns off completely during firing without unpleasant odors or leaving residue marks on the glass.

Instructions for LiquiFuse® Thin Viscosity
LiquiFuse Thin Viscosity was developed to utilize the process of capillary action – where liquids naturally flow into a narrow space. LiquiFuse Thin Viscosity is ideally suited for fusers who prefer to dry-position their design elements on the project’s base glass, then secure the design with a few drops of glue using capillary action.
1. Unscrew the applicator tip from the bottle and remove the red stopper cap. Then, open the sealed tip using a sharp craft knife to cut 1/16″ (2 mm) off the tip on a slight diagonal.
2. Place a drop of LiquiFuse Thin Viscosity onto the edge of one of your design components. With capillary action, the adhesive will naturally flow between the design piece and the base glass.
3. Make any final adjustments to your design. The adhesive will create a temporary hold, allowing time for any minor corrections. Wait a minimum of 15 minutes before moving your design to the kiln.
4. LiquiFuse Thin Viscosity works perfectly for frit or stringer designs. Dry-position the smaller pieces, then carefully place drops of LiquiFuse to secure the design pieces to the base glass.
1. Add a small dab of LiquiFuse Gel to the backside of each glass component in your design. Press it down to secure, and if some gel oozes out, it will completely burn off during firing.
2. Place each piece onto your base glass in the desired location. The gel’s thicker consistency will temporarily hold the pieces in place but still allow time for repositioning.
3. Both LiquiFuse Thin Viscosity and Gel can be used together on one project.
Use LiquiFuse Gel to secure larger design pieces. Use LiquiFuse Thin Viscosity to saturate the area for smaller pieces like stringers, noodles, vitra-cane, dots, or frit.
4. Both LiquiFuse Thin Viscosity and Gel adhesives allow approximately 15 minutes for design adjustments before setting. Once you’re satisfied with the placement, let the piece rest undisturbed for 45 to 60 minutes to fully cure. After curing, it can be safely transferred to the kiln.
